Clinch County captured the region crown in a battle for
the ages, downing Miller County by a score of 25-20. The Panthers scored with 1:57 remaining in the contest to seal
their victory over the homestanding Pirates. Congratulations to the Panthers. The Panthers will host Marion County
and the Pirates will welcome Brookstone to Colquitt in first round action.
In Donalsonville, the Seminole County Indians outscored
the Bacon County Red Raiders 56-19. The Bacon County squad threw for 215 first half passing yards, but were held without
a reception in the second half as the Indian defense took control to advance to the playoffs. Next up for the Indians
are the Chattahoochee County Panthers.
The Pelham Hornets hosted the Randolph-Clay Red Devils
in a battle for the last playoff spot on the slate. The Devils and Hornets waged war for 48 minutes with the Hornets
coming out on top 14-13 to move on to play Greenville in the first round of the state playoffs.
